HUIS CLOS

À huis clos

Each game is a sealed room. What you make inside it is yours.

Huis Clos publishes solo mapping games for mobile. You play alone, the game sets the prompts and the rules, and a place takes shape on the screen that did not exist before you started.

The name comes from Sartre's Huis Clos, usually translated as No Exit, in which three strangers are locked in a room with no way out. Here the room holds one. There is no one else to answer to. The game does the questioning instead.

Each prompt is a bearing, and each line is a commitment. What you end up with is a map no one else has.
